Central Asia Expedition: A timeless encounter at the Hisor Fortress video poster

A Journey Through Time at Tajikistan’s Hisor Fortress ⏳🏰

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to step back in time? 🕰️ Well, in the ancient city of Hisor, west of Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe, you can do just that! This city is over 3,000 years old and was once a bustling hub along the famous Silk Road, where traders and travelers exchanged goods and ideas.

Imagine walking the same paths as legendary explorers like Zhang Qian and Xuanzang, who are believed to have passed through Hisor centuries ago. The city has seen many empires rise and fall, making it a living museum of history.

Recently, a team from CGTN (that’s China Global Television Network) visited Hisor. Local residents invited them to join in a traditional dance! The CGTN team wore colorful local outfits and danced to the beat of ceremonial drums. 🥁💃 It was so much fun!

An elderly local shared something special with them. He said, “Many countries have invaded this land throughout history, but China is the only one that has always extended a hand of friendship.” Isn’t that amazing? It shows how important friendship and understanding are between different cultures.

Visiting places like Hisor helps us learn about our world’s rich history and how connected we all are. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll get to explore such fascinating places too! 🌍✨
