Hey everyone! 😊 Did you hear about the big meeting in Hong Kong? Leaders from different countries got together to sign an important agreement called the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed).
China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with officials from places like Zimbabwe, Benin, Switzerland, Pakistan, Cameroon, Mauritania, Nepal, and Laos. They all agreed that it’s better to solve problems by talking and listening to each other. 🤝
The IOMed is a new group that will help countries settle their disagreements peacefully. It’s the first of its kind in the world! 🌍 Wang Yi said that this is a big step toward making the world fairer and more just.
Leaders from other countries were excited too! The Minister from Benin said they want to start using the IOMed as soon as possible to help make the world more stable. The Deputy Prime Minister from Pakistan shared that they plan to improve their relations with Afghanistan thanks to China’s help.
Switzerland’s Foreign Minister said that the IOMed is a great way to solve differences by talking it out. Nepal’s Foreign Minister thinks Hong Kong is the perfect place for the IOMed’s headquarters. And the Deputy Prime Minister from Laos believes that mediation (that’s a fancy word for helping people agree) is a big part of Asian culture. 🌸
