China and Thailand Team Up for Peace! 🌏✌️
Hey there! Have you ever had a disagreement with a friend and needed someone to help you both sort it out? Well, countries sometimes need that too!
Recently, China’s Foreign Minister, Mr. Wang Yi, met with Mr. Surakiart Sathirathai, a special guest from Thailand who used to be Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister. They met in Hong Kong, a vibrant city that’s part of China.
Why did they meet? To celebrate the start of something called the “International Organization for Mediation” (IOMed). Mediation is like when a friendly person helps others solve problems peacefully.
Mr. Wang Yi said that the IOMed is a new way for countries to settle arguments without fighting. Imagine if all countries could talk out their problems like friends do – wouldn’t that be great? 😊
He also shared that China wants to work with other Asian countries to keep our big continent peaceful and happy. They plan to use groups like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (kind of like a big team of countries) to make this happen.
Mr. Surakiart was excited too! He said it was the perfect time to start the IOMed because the world could use more peace right now.
