On Thursday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Vanuatu’s Foreign Minister Marc Ati in a city called Xiamen. They talked about how their countries can work together more closely. 🤝
Minister Wang Yi said that China and Vanuatu’s partnership has been growing and bringing lots of good things to both countries! 🥰 He welcomed Vanuatu’s friendly approach toward China and said that now is the best time ever for their relationship! 🚀
They want to make sure this friendship keeps growing. That means more visits between leaders, more cooperation, and more helping each other out! 🌍
China is excited to buy more of Vanuatu’s high-quality products. Maybe that means more yummy fruits or cool crafts from Vanuatu! 🍍🎨 And China wants its companies to invest and do business in Vanuatu too.
They even hope to start talks about a free trade agreement soon, which could make trading things between the two countries easier! 📈
Minister Wang Yi also said that the Pacific Island countries like Vanuatu have the right to choose their own friends and make their own decisions. “They are no one’s backyard,” he said. 🌴🌊
