Speaking in Xiamen, a city in southeast China’s Fujian Province, Wang Yi talked about how everyone in the world needs to work together to tackle climate change. He said that even when some big countries step back from agreements like the Paris Agreement, China will keep doing its part to help the planet. 🌳
China has been helping Pacific Island countries deal with climate change for many years. These are small islands that are especially affected by rising sea levels and weather changes. To help even more, China plans to start 100 new “small and beautiful” projects over the next three years! 🏝️✨
Wang Yi wants China to be a good friend to other developing countries, especially those in the Global South like the Pacific Island countries. He said China will stand together with them to make our world a better place. 🤝❤️
