Wang Yi: China ready to further advance bilateral ties with Kiribati

China and Kiribati Strengthen Friendship for a Brighter Future! 🌏🀝

Hey there! Have you ever heard of Kiribati (pronounced “Kiri-bahs”)? It’s a small island country in the Pacific Ocean. 🏝️ Well, something exciting just happened! China and Kiribati are becoming even better friends! 🀝

China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with Kiribati’s President and Foreign Minister, Taneti Maamau, in Xiamen City, China. They talked about how their countries can work together to make life better for everyone. Isn’t that cool? 🌟

Since they started their friendship over five years ago, China and Kiribati have been helping each other a lot. China has sent doctors to Kiribati to help people who are sick. 🩺 They’ve also made it easier for people from Kiribati to visit China by offering visa services first! ✈️

Now, they want to do even more together! They talked about working on protecting the oceans, called the “Blue Partnership”. This means they’ll take care of marine life and resources. 🐠🌊 They also want to work together on things like climate change. That’s super important because small island countries like Kiribati can be affected by rising sea levels. 🌏🌑️

China promised to encourage Chinese companies to invest in Kiribati. That could mean new jobs and better technology for Kiribati! πŸ’ΌπŸ”§

President Maamau thanked China for all their help and said he can’t wait to work together on more cool projects, like cultural exchanges, healthcare, and building new things. πŸ₯πŸ—οΈ

Both countries are very excited about their future together and are looking forward to the third China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers’ Meeting! πŸŽ‰

It’s great to see countries working together to make the world a better place, don’t you think? 😊
