Hey there! 🌦️ Get your umbrellas and rain boots ready, because South China is about to face the biggest rainstorms of 2025!
From May 27 to May 29, heavy rains and even super strong rainstorms are expected to pour down in places like Guizhou Province and regions south of the Yangtze River. 🌧️ That’s what China’s national weather experts at the National Meteorological Center are saying.
What’s Happening?
Since May, there have already been three big rain events in southern China. Now, with more rain on the way, there are higher risks of floods and other disasters. 😯
The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) have issued a blue alert for possible flash floods in parts of western Yunnan starting from 8 p.m. on Sunday to 8 p.m. on Monday.
They’ve also issued a yellow alert for possible geological disasters (like landslides) in central and western Yunnan during the same time. ⛰️
What Can You Do?
- Stay Informed: Keep an eye on weather updates from official sources.
- Stay Safe: Avoid going out in heavy rain if you can. If you need to go out, wear waterproof clothes and be careful. ☔
- Stay Prepared: Have emergency supplies ready, just in case. 🏡
Remember, safety first! Let’s hope the rain helps the plants grow without causing too much trouble. 🌱
