Our host met three super talented Kunqu performers who showed us the magic behind this ancient opera. They taught us about different roles, like the sheng (the male role), dan (the female role), jing (the painted face role), and chou (the clown role). Each character has unique costumes and movements! 🎭
We learned some cool moves and even tried on the beautiful costumes. The performers were so kind and patient, explaining everything in a way that’s easy to understand. 😊
But the most exciting part? Our host transformed into the clown character from the classic play “Fifteen Strings of Cash”! 🤡💰 This play is a famous story that has been performed for centuries. The clown, or chou, is a funny character who often makes the audience laugh with his jokes and antics. 😂
