China’s New C919 Jet Takes Flight Between Shanghai and Xiamen! ✈️

Hey there, future pilots and travelers! 🛫 Guess what? China’s very own airplane, the C919 jet, has started flying people between the big cities of Shanghai and Xiamen!

On May 25th, early in the morning, 148 excited passengers boarded Flight MU5247 at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. At exactly 9:19 a.m., the shiny new C919 landed at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. As it arrived, it was welcomed with a special water salute! 💦 That’s when fire trucks spray water over the plane to celebrate something really special.

Starting now, the C919 will fly this route every single day! The flight leaves Shanghai at 7:50 a.m. and reaches Xiamen by 9:55 a.m. Then, it heads back from Xiamen at 10:55 a.m., arriving in Shanghai at 12:55 p.m. How cool is that?

This is great news for people who travel for business or just want to explore new places. They can now make a same-day round trip between these two awesome cities! 🚄✈️ Travel just got faster and more fun!

Fun Fact: The C919 is the first large passenger airplane made in the Chinese mainland. It’s like building your own giant Lego airplane, but for real!
