Did you know that during China’s recent May Day holiday, more than 10 million people traveled in and out of the country? That’s like the entire population of a big city moving around in just five days!

The May Day holiday lasted from April 29 to May 3, and during this time, border inspection agencies across China were super busy handling 10.89 million entry and exit trips. This was a 28.7% increase compared to the same holiday last year!

May 3 was the busiest day, with over 2.2 million trips recorded in a single day! That’s a lot of people going on adventures! ๐Ÿš€

  • Mainland travelers (people from the Chinese mainland) made about 5.77 million trips.
  • Travelers from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan region made up 4 million trips.

  • Trips by mainland travelers increased by 21.2%.
