Wang Yi counters U.S. 'tariff stick' with five questions

China’s Wang Yi Asks Five Big Questions About Fair Trade ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค”

Hey there! Have you ever tried trading toys with a friend, but they made it really hard for you?

That’s kind of what’s happening between countries right now! On Tuesday, China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, asked some big questions about how the United States is treating other countries in trade.

โœจ What’s Going On?

The United States has been putting extra taxes, called tariffs, on things it buys from other countries. This makes it harder and more expensive for those countries to sell their products.

๐ŸŒŸ Wang Yi’s Five Questions

At a meeting in Brazil, Wang Yi asked:

  1. Should we let the world become a place where the strongest make all the rules?
  2. Is it okay for one country to only think about itself and not care about others?
  3. Should we stand by while important international rules are ignored?
  4. Can any country really protect its own interests by giving in or being scared?
  5. Do we want a world where one country tries to be the boss, or a world where all countries are equal?

๐Ÿค” Why Does This Matter?

Wang Yi wants everyone to think about fairness and working together. He believes that China should stand up not just for itself, but for fair rules for everyone.

๐Ÿ’ช China’s Stand

China says if there’s a trade war, it will stand strong. But if countries want to talk and solve problems fairly, China is open to that too.
