Discovering Flamenco
Karina was studying Spanish in her hometown of Taiyuan, a city in northern China. One day in 2012, she found a poem by Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. It talked about flamenco and how it makes “tightly closed flowers blossom into a thousand petals.” 🌸 Karina was fascinated!
A Trip That Changed Everything
She decided to visit Spain that same year. In the city of Seville, she saw her first flamenco class. “Wow, it’s so real and so passionate!” she thought. From that moment, she knew she had found something special.
Following Her Dream
In 2014, at just 21 years old, Karina moved to Spain to learn flamenco. She worked hard to master the steps, the moves, and the rhythm. It wasn’t easy, but she loved every minute of it!
Expressing Herself Through Dance
Flamenco helped Karina open up and express her true self. “When I dance, I can express my joy, my sorrow, and my experiences,” she says. 💖
