China and Indonesia Celebrate 75 Years of Friendship 🎉
Hey there! Did you know that China and Indonesia have been friends for 75 years? That’s like having a best friend since kindergarten! 👫 On Sunday, the leaders of both countries sent each other congratulations to mark this special anniversary.
Guess what arrived in China just before the big day? A whopping 200 kilograms of fresh coconuts from Indonesia! 🥥 They landed in Fuzhou, a city in China’s Fujian Province. This is a big deal because it shows how the two countries are trading more and sharing tasty treats. Yum!
“China’s huge market means great chances for Indonesian coconuts,” said Song Jing, an official from Fuzhou Customs. “This helps Indonesia’s coconut farmers and also boosts businesses in China, like factories and delivery services.”
Trade between China and Indonesia is really growing. In 2024, they traded goods worth nearly $148 billion! And in just the first two months of 2025, they traded about $24 billion, which is even more than before. 📈
China is also helping Indonesia build cool things like roads, factories, and energy projects. One awesome example is the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. It’s the first super-fast train in Southeast Asia! 🚄 Finished in 2023, it has carried over eight million passengers by February 2025. Now, people can travel between Jakarta and Bandung much faster than before.
But it’s not just about business. China and Indonesia are also becoming closer in education and culture. Thousands of Indonesian students are studying in China, learning new things and making new friends. 🤝
Chinese culture is getting popular in Indonesia too! People there enjoy Chinese food, martial arts like kung fu, and celebrate festivals like the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year). 🥡🎇
Tourism is booming! Many Chinese people are visiting amazing places in Indonesia, like the beautiful beaches of Bali. 🏖️ There are more flights now, making it easier to travel. Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun said they hope to welcome 2 million Chinese tourists in 2025!
Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a friendly message to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. He talked about how the two countries have been good neighbors and partners, and he’s excited to make the friendship even stronger. “China and Indonesia have stood together through thick and thin,” he said.
