They’ve embarked on an exciting pickleball-themed cultural journey in China. Not only are they playing pickleball, but they’re also diving deep into Chinese culture and making friendships that could last a lifetime! 🤝
Welcome to Shanghai! 🏙️
On April 11, the adventure kicked off in the bustling city of Shanghai. At Luwan Middle School, they were greeted with a super cool robotic dog performing a welcome dance! 🤖🐶 They even saw soccer robots scoring goals in an artificial intelligence zone. How futuristic is that?
In a magical holographic classroom, they experienced 3D projections that made learning feel like a game. They also tried traditional Chinese crafts like intricate paper-cutting and creating beautiful lacquered fans. Imagine making art that’s been crafted for centuries! ✂️🖌️
Chinese students showcased amazing vocal and dance performances, and everyone exchanged small gifts rich in culture. It’s like sharing a piece of home with new friends! 🎁
Exploring History and Heritage 🏰
In the afternoon, they visited the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. Using cool tech like augmented reality, they saw how Shanghai transformed over the years, blending its glorious past with a dynamic present. 🏗️✨
At the Huangpu Intangible Cultural Heritage Center, they learned to make kites and create ornamental frog buttons used on traditional cheongsam dresses. Hands-on activities gave them a real taste of China’s deep cultural roots. 🪁👘
A Night to Remember 🌙
As night fell, they explored the enchanting Yuyuan Garden. With its illuminated pavilions and bridges glowing under the moonlight, it was like stepping into a fairy tale! Many students took photos to capture the magical moments, while others chatted with local visitors. 📸🌟
The Journey Continues 🚞
From April 9 to 21, the students will travel through Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing, playing friendly pickleball matches in each city. It’s not just about sports—it’s about understanding different cultures and building friendships across borders. 🏓❤️🌏
