Hey basketball fans! Dongguan’s women’s basketball team is just one win away from the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) championship after an amazing 90-83 victory over Sichuan on Tuesday!
It was a super close game! At halftime, both teams were tied at 44-44. But in the fourth quarter, Dongguan’s teamwork and strong defense made the difference. They outscored Sichuan 20-14 in the final quarter!
Star Players Shine
Five players from Dongguan scored in double figures! 🌟 Yang Shuyu led the team with 23 points. Yang Liwei scored 20 points, and Aliyah Collier added 18 points. Great job, team!
Sichuan’s top players, Jonquel Jones, Elizabeth Cambage, and Li Meng, played really well too. Jonquel Jones scored a game-high 31 points! 🏅
Coach’s Thoughts
After the game, Dongguan’s coach-player Huang Sijing, who also scored 10 points, said, “I just told my players to enjoy this stage and show their best, and they did, which made me quite proud.”
