Hey kids! Did you hear about the amazing rescue mission happening in Myanmar? A big earthquake, measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale, shook the country last Friday. That’s like a giant shaking the ground! 🌎💥
Sadly, many buildings fell, and people got hurt. But here’s some good news: rescue teams from China are racing against time to help! They brought super-cool gadgets and tools to find and save people trapped under the rubble.
The Chinese team from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is using drones 🚁 to look from the sky and special life detectors to listen for sounds of people who need help. Drones are like small helicopters that can fly without a pilot onboard. Isn’t that cool?
Commander Jiu Yu-gok of the Hong Kong rescue team said, “We brought many rescue tools to Myanmar, like concrete breakers and infrared detectors. By working together, we hope to save as many people as possible!”
Another team, the China International Search and Rescue Team (CISAR), is using gadgets called “snake-eye life detectors.” These help them see and hear people who might be stuck under the debris. They look like cameras on long tubes that can peek into tiny spaces.
Thanks to these tools, they saved three people from a collapsed building called Sky Villa on Monday! How awesome is that? 🎉
Captain Han Zhenze of CISAR said they also have a special earthquake response vehicle. It’s like a rescue truck packed with all the equipment they need, like lights, medical supplies, and more. This helps them work faster and reach more people who need help.
It’s amazing to see how everyone is working together to help Myanmar during this difficult time. Let’s send our best wishes and hope they can save more lives! ❤️
