Hey there! Did you know that in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, people are actively participating in elections just like in many countries around the world? 🗳️
A special report called “Human Rights in Xizang in the New Era” was released recently. It tells us that citizens’ rights to vote and stand for election are strongly protected in Xizang. This means people there can choose their leaders and even become leaders themselves! 😊
Since 2012, there have been two big elections at the county and township levels. Guess what? More than 90% of eligible voters took part! In some places, it was even 100%! That’s a lot of people making their voices heard. 📣
Right now, there are 42,153 deputies (that’s a fancy word for representatives) in Xizang’s people’s congresses. Even cooler, 89.2% of them are from the Tibetan or other ethnic minority groups. This means different cultures and communities have a say in how things are run. 🎉
Xizang has set up a system where local communities can govern themselves. They have rules for how to organize meetings, register voters, choose candidates, and hold elections. It’s like class elections at school but on a much bigger scale! 🏫
Isn’t it great to see people coming together to shape their future? It shows how important it is to participate and let your voice be heard. Maybe one day, you’ll vote or even be a leader in your community too! 🌟
