Wuxi’s Cherry Blossom Festival Welcomes the World!

🌸 Spring has arrived, and with it, a breathtaking sea of pink and white blossoms in Wuxi, a city in east China’s Jiangsu Province. The annual International Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off on Thursday, inviting visitors from over 30 countries and regions to join in the celebration!

At the opening ceremony, government officials, business leaders, and special guests came together to celebrate this colorful event. Did you know that this festival started way back in the 1980s as a friendship event between China and Japan? Now, it’s famous all around the globe!

The festival is held at Yuantouzhu, a beautiful tourist spot that covers over 850,000 square meters—that’s like 120 soccer fields! 🏟️ It’s home to more than 30,000 cherry trees, making it a dream destination for anyone who loves these delicate flowers.

But there’s more than just pretty petals! During the week-long festival, Wuxi is hosting a cherry blossom-themed fair, decorating special subway trains, and offering around 100 yummy local food-tasting activities! 🍜🍡 It’s a feast for your eyes and your taste buds.

Also kicking off on Thursday was the 2025 Wuxi International Month. This means even more global events are happening, including meetings and exchanges with companies from Germany, France, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. It’s a fantastic time to celebrate cultures from around the world! 🌍

If you’re a fan of cherry blossoms or just love fun festivals, Wuxi is the place to be this spring! Grab your cameras and your friends, and come experience the magic! 🌸🎉
