What’s the Global Civilization Initiative?
Earlier this year, on March 15, 2023, Chinese President Xi Jinping introduced the GCI during a big video meeting with leaders from different countries. The GCI is all about respecting different cultures and learning from one another.
Why is it important?
The world is full of amazing cultures, languages, and traditions. The GCI encourages everyone to appreciate this diversity. It also highlights the shared values that connect us, like kindness, fairness, and helping others.
