Guess who stopped by our office today? A real-life humanoid robot named G1! 🤖 We were so excited to meet this amazing robot from Unitree Robotics, a company based in Hangzhou, in East China.
The G1 robot is super cool. It’s about 1.3 meters tall (that’s like the height of a tall 8-year-old!) and weighs 35 kilograms. With its 23 to 43 joint motors, G1 can move just like a human. It can learn dance moves 💃, help with simple tasks like welding, and do so much more!
You might have heard about Unitree’s other robot, the H1, which danced at a big festival called the Spring Festival Gala. The H1 is bigger, but G1 is lighter and can move even more smoothly.
We talked to Mr. Jin Da, the marketing manager at Unitree Robotics. He told us that new technology like big computer models is helping robots become smarter. This means robots like G1 can do even more amazing things!
Mr. Jin believes that soon, robots will be helping out in big places like factories. And guess what? In the next 10 years or maybe even sooner, robots like G1 might be helping out in our homes! 🏠
Isn’t that exciting? The more people get interested in robots, the faster they’ll improve. Maybe one day, we’ll all have a robot friend to help us out!
