The amazing English snooker player, Shaun Murphy, also known as “The Magician,” pulled off a fantastic 5-2 victory against China’s own Ding Junhui in the round of 16! ๐
Murphy, who is ranked World No. 8, started strong by winning three of the first four frames. Ding Junhui, World No. 9, tried to catch up and even had a chance to make a perfect score in the fifth frame. But Murphy stayed focused and didn’t let Ding catch up. ๐
In the seventh frame, Murphy made a brilliant break of 93 points, sealing his spot in the quarterfinals. He is now the highest-ranked player left in the competition! ๐ฎ
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Murphy’s next match will be against fellow English player Joe O’Connor, who won his match 5-3. Other players moving forward include Ali Carter and Barry Hawkins from England, and Pang Junxu from China, who is the only remaining home player in the tournament. ๐
