The Shanghai Sharks have done it again! They secured their fourth consecutive win by defeating the Shanxi Loongs 100-93 in an exciting Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) game on Wednesday. The match took place in Shanghai, in the Chinese mainland.
Star Players Shine 🌟
Five players from the Sharks scored in double digits! Li Tianrong and Wang Zhelin both scored 18 points. Li was on fire, making four out of seven three-point shots! That’s like shooting from way behind the basketball hoop and still scoring! 🎯
Wang Zhelin had a double-double, which means he had double-digit numbers in two categories: points and rebounds. He grabbed 10 rebounds, helping his team get extra chances to score. Unfortunately, he had to leave the game due to an injury later on.
An Exciting Battle 🏀🔥
The game was close from the start. In the first quarter, Li’s amazing shots helped the Sharks lead 29-26. But the Shanxi Loongs didn’t give up! Brandon Goodwin and Hamidou Diallo played great in the second quarter. Just before halftime, Goodwin passed the ball to Zhang Ning, who scored a three-pointer, giving the Loongs a one-point lead at 53-52!
Comeback and Victory! 🦈
In the third quarter, Wang Zhelin stepped up big time! He made six out of seven shots close to the basket and even scored a rare three-pointer. The Sharks took back the lead, ending the quarter at 81-74.
Early in the fourth quarter, there was a dramatic moment. Diallo blocked Wang’s shot, but accidentally fell on Wang’s knees. Wang had to leave the game, which was a big loss for the Sharks. But teammates Li Tianrong and Li Hongquan didn’t let that stop them! They made awesome three-point shots, and the Sharks’ lead grew to 15 points! 🚀
Sharks Keep Moving Up! 🏆
The Shanxi Loongs tried to catch up, but key players Yuan Shuai and Zhang missed several shots. This was the Loongs’ ninth loss of the season. The Shanghai Sharks have now won 20 of their last 22 games, including 12 wins in a row at home! They are cruising up the CBA standings, and fans are super excited! 🎉
