On Wednesday, Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, shared some exciting news. She said they want more Taiwan compatriots to take part in China’s democratic process and help make policies that benefit everyone!
She talked about the Two Sessions, which are important meetings where Chinese leaders make big decisions. Zhu mentioned that these sessions are a great way for people from Taiwan to see how China’s democracy works and to share their ideas.
Lately, more people from Taiwan have been sharing their thoughts on how to improve relationships between the mainland and Taiwan. The mainland is super excited to hear from young people especially! They want to create more chances for Taiwan youth to join in and have their voices heard.
“We are ready to work with our compatriots in Taiwan to bring everyone closer together,” Zhu said.
