China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, wants to make the world a better place for everyone! On Monday, he shared some important ideas at a big United Nations meeting about human rights.
What are Human Rights? 🤔
Human rights are basic rights and freedoms that every person in the world has, like the right to live, to learn, and to be treated fairly.
China’s Big Ideas:
- People Come First! 🙋♂️🙋♀️ Wang Yi said that human rights should focus on helping people. It’s all about making sure everyone’s lives get better.
- Fairness and Justice ⚖️ He believes that fairness and justice are super important. Everyone should have the chance to live well and grow.
- No Double Standards 🚫 This means we should treat all countries and people the same way, without any favoritism or unfair rules.
- Learning from Each Other 🌍 Wang Yi thinks countries should share and learn from each other, but not force their own ways onto others.
Working Together for a Better World 🤝
China wants to work with other countries to make the world peaceful and prosperous. Wang Yi said China is committed to helping humanity and making the future bright for everyone!
Helping in Difficult Times 🕊️
On the same day, another Chinese leader, Chen Xu, talked about helping people affected by wars and conflicts. China is encouraging everyone to follow the International Humanitarian Law, which protects people during times of war.
