Zhang Shuai from China and her partner Kristina Mladenovic from France have just won an exciting doubles match at the Dubai Tennis Championships! 🏆
They faced the tough seventh-seeded team of Sofia Kenin from the USA and Lyudmyla Kichenok from Ukraine. But Zhang and Kristina played amazingly well, winning the match with scores of 6-1 and 6-2. That’s like scoring lots of points in a game! 🎉
In the first set, they zoomed ahead with a 4-0 lead. Even though their opponents tried to catch up, Zhang and Kristina kept their cool and finished the set quickly. In the second set, Kenin and Kichenok tried to fight back and did manage to break their serve once. But our heroes didn’t let that stop them! They bounced back and won the second set too! 🙌
Now, Zhang and Kristina are moving on to play against the American duo, McCartney Kessler and Clara Tauson, in the next round. Let’s cheer them on! Go team! 🎊
