China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, in Munich, Germany. They were both attending an important event called the Munich Security Conference. 🕊️
China and Ukraine have been friends since 2011 when they became strategic partners. Even with tough times around the world, China is still Ukraine’s biggest trading partner. That means they buy and sell lots of things to each other! 📦🤝
Minister Wang Yi said that China cares a lot about Ukraine and wants to help. He emphasized that China sees Ukraine as a friend and a partner. He also asked Ukraine to keep Chinese people and places safe in their country. 🇨🇳🇺🇦
What’s more, China wants to help bring peace to Ukraine. There’s a big crisis happening there, and China believes in talking it out and finding peaceful solutions. Wang Yi mentioned that President Xi Jinping’s ideas are all about being fair and practical to help solve problems. 🌐🗣️
China promised to keep working hard to support peace talks and help find a lasting solution that everyone agrees on. They even have a group called “Friends of Peace” with other countries from the Global South to promote peace and dialogue. 🤗🌍
On the other side, Minister Andrii Sybiha from Ukraine thanked China for being a good friend. He said Ukraine wants to keep strong ties with China and respects China’s big role in the world. He hopes China can help bring complete and lasting peace to the region. 🙏✨
