The 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin are not just about thrilling sports and icy challengesโthey’re also about people coming together from all over Asia and beyond! ๐โธ๏ธ
Meet Wang Yi, an awesome student studying Arabic at Beijing International Studies University. During the Games, she volunteered as a Rights-Holding Broadcaster Service Assistant. Sounds fancy, right? Basically, she helped TV crews from different countries do their jobs smoothly.
But Wang Yi did even more! When she met visitors from Saudi Arabia, she noticed they needed a little help. They weren’t sure how to order food using local mobile apps. So, Wang Yi stepped in! She showed them how to use the apps and even recommended some delicious local halal restaurants. ๐ฒ๐ฑ
The Saudi Arabian friends were so grateful that they shared some sweet dates and lovely perfume with her as thank-you gifts. How cool is that? ๐
Wang Yi’s story shows how a little kindness can make a big difference. By bridging language gaps and sharing cultures, she made new friends and unforgettable memories. Maybe next time you’ll be inspired to help someone out too! ๐ค
