Guess who just dropped by Harbin? It’s Kim Jae-youl, the president of the International Skating Union (ISU)! 🏅 He visited CGTN Sports Scene’s studio during the exciting 9th Asian Winter Games happening in Harbin, a city in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province.
Mr. Kim was super impressed with how Harbin is hosting the games. He also praised China’s amazing work in using the legacy from the 2022 Winter Olympics. That’s like reusing and making the most out of all the cool stuff from previous big events! ❄️
During his visit, Kim received a special New Year’s gift from CGTN Sports Scene’s Greg Laffradi. 🎁 How awesome is that? He sent his best wishes to CGTN, which has been a long-time partner with the ISU. That means they’ve been working together for a long time to bring us exciting skating events! ⛸️
Colin Smith, the ISU Director General, was also there. It was his first time in Harbin, and he was amazed by the Asian Winter Games and the city itself. Harbin is famous for producing many top Chinese winter sports athletes! 🌟
Isn’t it cool to see leaders in sports visiting cities and appreciating all the hard work that goes into hosting big events? Maybe one day, you’ll be part of such exciting adventures! Keep skating, skiing, or whatever you love doing! 🥳
