Hey everyone! π Have you heard the amazing news?
A brilliant scientist from the Chinese mainland named Wang Yongjun just won a super important award! π It’s called the “Feinberg Award,” and it’s for his incredible work helping people who have strokes.
What’s a stroke? π€
A stroke happens when blood can’t get to the brain the way it’s supposed to. This can make people very sick or even unable to move or talk properly.
Dr. Wang has been working hard for over 30 years (that’s a really long time!) to find better ways to help people who have strokes.
He and his team discovered that by using special medicines and new technologies, they can help more people get better, even if they arrive at the hospital late.
They also found that combining two medicines, aspirin and clopidogrel, can prevent strokes from happening again! π
Thanks to Dr. Wang and his team, millions of people in China and around the world are getting better care after a stroke. π
He says that teamwork was super important, with over 2,400 hospitals working together! π€
Isn’t it amazing how science can help so many people? Maybe one day, you could be a scientist too and make a big difference! π§βπ¬π©βπ¬
