The mainland’s spokesperson, Zhu Fenglian, shared that tourism companies from Fujian Province and Shanghai applied to visit Taiwan. This was after the mainland announced that group tours to Taiwan would start again in January.
But Taiwan’s authorities said these tours need to be discussed by certain organizations first. The mainland thinks this is just an excuse to delay things. Zhu Fenglian believes that the DPP is ignoring what people want and is blocking tourists from visiting Taiwan.
