Guess what? China’s Su Yiming just grabbed the silver medal π₯ at the FIS Snowboard World Cup in Aspen, Colorado! Isn’t that awesome?
In the men’s slopestyle final, Su dazzled everyone with his amazing tricks. On his first run, he scored 74.36 points, putting him in the lead early on. But he didn’t stop there! On his second try, he nailed it even more and scored 78.36 points. π²
But the competition was fierce! Canada’s Francis Jobin swooped in with a score of 79.30 points, just edging ahead of Su. So close! But Su’s silver medal is a huge achievementβit’s his first World Cup medal in this event! π
The bronze went to Sean Fitzsimons from the USA. Great job to all the riders!
In the women’s slopestyle, New Zealand’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott took the gold with a fantastic run scoring 87.80 points. Japan’s Kokomo Murase earned silver, and Great Britain’s Mia Brookes got the bronze. Way to go, ladies! π
There was more excitement in the halfpipe finals! π· In the men’s halfpipe, local hero Alex Ferreira from the USA wowed the crowd with an amazing third run, earning a whopping 95.75 points! That’s the highest score of the day! π₯
Ferreira said, “That’s easily one of the best moments of my life, I’ll never forget that.” He sure made it memorable!
Nick Goepper and Matthew Labaugh, also from the USA, took silver and bronze. Great team effort! π₯π₯
On the women’s side, Great Britain’s Zoe Atkin took the gold with an incredible performance, scoring 90.00 points. China’s Li Fanghui claimed the silver with 88.50 pointsβway to go! π Canada’s Amy Fraser grabbed the bronze.
