Jordan Stolz, a 20-year-old super skater from the USA ๐บ๐ธ, zoomed to victory in the men’s 1,000-meter race with an amazing time of 1:06.16. He’s been unbeatable this season, leading the World Cup standings in the men’s 500-meter, 1,000-meter, and 1,500-meter events! ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Behind Jordan, skaters from the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ, Jenning de Boo and Kjeld Nuis, took the silver and bronze medals. Great job, guys! ๐
In the women’s 1,000-meter race, Japanese favorite Miho Takagi ๐ฅ sped to victory with a time of 1:13.56. The previous track record holder, Brittany Bowe from the USA ๐บ๐ธ, came in second, and Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong of the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ took third place. Way to go, ladies! ๐ช
The long-distance races were just as thrilling! ๐ฎ๐น Italy’s Francesca Lollobrigida won the women’s 3,000-meter race in 3:54.73, just 0.13 seconds ahead of Ragne Wiklund from Norway ๐ณ๐ด. Talk about a close finish! ๐ฎ
In the men’s 5,000-meter race, Norwegian skater Sander Eitrem set a new track record and personal best with a time of 6:04.74 to claim the gold medal! ๐ฅ๐
Chinese skaters also showed great effort. ๐จ๐ณ Lian Ziwen finished 12th in the men’s 1,000-meter race with a time of 1:08.28. In the women’s 3,000-meter race, Yang Binyu came in 11th place, finishing in 4:01.63. Wu Yu competed in the men’s 5,000-meter final, finishing 15th.
