Han Mei was born in 1998 and started skating when she was just 10 years old. Can you believe that? She showed incredible talent from a young age and joined a professional training camp. Fast forward a few years, and she’s now a two-time Olympian and a silver medalist at the Four Continents Championships! 🥈⛸️

Han Mei has been a part of the Chinese national team since 2015. She says that joining a new international team last season really helped her improve. “It was a great motivation for me,” she said. “I made progress that I didn’t think was possible, like standing on the podium!” 🏅

One of Han Mei’s biggest rivals and best friends is Japan’s Olympic champion, Miho Takagi. Han admires her a lot! “Takagi seems out of reach, but she’s always there to help and guide me,” Han said. “We share our experiences on and off the ice. She’s very disciplined and a true professional. When we’re together, she’s friendly and not as serious as she looks during competitions.” 😊
Big Dreams at the Asian Winter Games and Beyond 🌠
Han Mei is really excited about the Asian Winter Games. What’s her goal? To win gold medals in every event she competes in! “I’m already 26 years old, which feels crazy,” she laughed. “I hope to use this as motivation. Training every day and learning from my experiences, I want to perform my best at the Games.” 🥇
