Can you believe they have detained over 500 vessels (that’s 500 boats!) for breaking the rules? 😲 Not only that, they’ve also identified and sent away about 1,700 foreign ships that were fishing illegally. That’s like stopping a huge fleet of ships from harming the ocean! 🚢🌊
They even caught a foreign fishing vessel using electric fishing. Electric fishing is super bad because it can hurt many fish at once and damage the environment. ⚡🐟 They also caught another vessel poaching coral—over 1,200 live coral specimens and lots of Tridacna shells were seized. Corals are like the rainforests of the sea, so saving them is really important! 🌈🐚
Liu Dejun, a spokesperson for the CCG, said they’re on a mission to protect the ocean and make it beautiful for everyone. They work with other departments to carry out special actions like the “Blue Sea” initiative. 💙 They focus on stopping illegal fishing, preventing people from dumping waste into the sea, and saving precious and endangered species.
