Hey there! 👋 Did you know that in Guizhou Province, China, there’s a special group of people called the Tujia? They’re celebrating a fun and ancient festival called “gan nian”, which means “chasing the new year”!
This celebration has been going on for over 400 years! That’s older than some countries! 😮 Every year, just before the Spring Festival (which is like Chinese New Year), the Tujia people put on their colorful traditional clothes and have a big feast with their families and friends.
They sing, dance, and enjoy lots of yummy food 🍲. It’s their way of saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming the new one with joy and happiness.
