Xi Jinping visits flood-affected residents ahead of Spring Festival

Xi Jinping Visits Flood-Affected Villagers Before Chinese New Year πŸŽ‰

Hey everyone! With the Chinese New Year just around the corner, something special happened in northeast China! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³

Xi Jinping, the President of China, visited a village called Zhujiagou in Liaoning Province. Last year, this village faced heavy floods due to torrential rains. Can you imagine? Roads were washed away, over 70 hectares of farmland were submerged, and more than 50 homes were damaged. That’s a lot!

Because of the floods, many families had to move. But guess what? By October 24, 2023, all the affected villagers moved into brand-new homes built on higher ground. Just in time before the chilly winter arrived! πŸ β„οΈ

Braving the freezing temperatures, President Xi came to see how everyone was doing. He asked them about their new homes and daily life. He told them, “I’ve been thinking about you and wanted to visit before the Spring Festival.” Isn’t that thoughtful?

He also said, “We always put the people first. You can always count on the Party and the government when times are tough. We’ll help you rebuild and move forward.” 🀝

This isn’t the first time President Xi has visited people who faced challenges. In previous years, he helped villagers make traditional snacks, chatted with families, and even used sign language to communicate with children who are hearing-impaired. It shows how much he cares!

As the Chinese New Year approaches, let’s remember the importance of helping others and coming together as a community. After all, supporting each other is what makes festivals and celebrations truly special! 🎊🧧
