Exploring Lingyin Temple 🏯
Lingyin Temple, which means “Temple of the Soul’s Retreat,” is one of the oldest and most famous Buddhist temples in China. It’s surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. The Harvard students got to explore this peaceful place and learn about its history and culture.
Yummy Vegetarian Meals 🍲
At the temple, the students tried traditional vegetarian dishes prepared by the monks. In Buddhism, many people eat vegetarian food to show kindness to all living beings. The students enjoyed dishes made from fresh vegetables, tofu, and other tasty ingredients.
