Hey there, snowboarding fans! ๐ Guess what? The snowy slopes of Yabuli in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province are buzzing with excitement! Why? Because they’re gearing up for the 2025 Asian Winter Games, which are just around the corner!
Recently, the Yabuli Winter Sports Center hosted a super cool big air test event, which was also China’s National Championship. Imagine soaring through the air on a snowboard over a course that’s 214 meters long, 30 meters wide, and has a drop of 62 meters! That’s like jumping off a 20-story building! ๐ฎ
In the men’s big air final, 10 daring snowboarders took to the skies. Yang Jinghan from Sichuan Sports College was on fire! ๐ฅ On his first run, he scored 79.33 points. But on his second run, he amazed everyone with an incredible 1800-degree spinning move, earning a whopping 95.66 points! That’s five full spins in the air! Can you believe it?
Yang’s total of 174.99 points put him at the top of the podium. Way to go, Yang! ๐ฅ
The women’s big air event was just as thrilling. Eight talented athletes competed, but it all came down to a nail-biting finish between Zhang Yuting from Chongqing Winter Sports Management Center and Gan Jiajia from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In the end, Zhang clinched the title with 158.00 points, just edging out Gan by 2.34 points. Talk about a close call! ๐
The countdown is on! The 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games will kick off on February 7 and wrap up on February 14. That’s a whole week of amazing winter sports action! โท๏ธ๐
