Did you know that over 31 million electric cars are now zooming around the Chinese mainland? That’s a lot of cars! πππ
The Ministry of Public Security announced that by the end of 2024, there are 31.4 million new energy vehicles (NEVs) on the roads. NEVs include electric cars and other eco-friendly vehicles that help reduce pollution and save our planet. π
Just ten years ago, there were only about 120,000 NEVs. That’s like going from a tiny ant π to a giant elephant π! This huge growth is because of cool new technologies, better charging stations, and more people caring about the environment. π±
In 2024 alone, 11.25 million new NEVs were registered, which is 51.49% more than in 2023! Now, NEVs make up 8.9% of all vehicles in the country. Isn’t that amazing? π€©
The Chinese mainland now has more than half of all the NEVs in the world! It’s the biggest market for these green cars, and it’s helping to make the air cleaner for everyone. π
To help all these electric cars keep moving, there are over 33,100 charging stations across highways. That means if you’re traveling during the Spring Festival, you can easily charge up your car and visit your family. ππ
This big shift to electric cars shows how powerful making good choices for the environment can be. Maybe one day, all cars will be electric, and we’ll have an even cleaner and greener planet! π
