Hey soccer fans! ⚽️ Have you heard about Chinese striker Wu Lei? He’s a big star in China, playing for Shanghai Port and the Chinese national team. Unfortunately, he’s been having trouble with his right knee. Ouch! 😢
Wu Lei has decided to have surgery to fix his knee. This means he’ll be taking a break from playing soccer for at least two months. That’s like missing two school vacations! 🏖️
Because of his injury, Wu wasn’t able to play in China’s last two important World Cup qualifying matches. He also won’t be joining the team’s current training camp in Haikou, which is a beautiful place in the south of the Chinese mainland. 🌴
Wu tried to get better without surgery, but it didn’t work. He said, “The problem won’t go away completely without an operation. It’s very disturbing. If I don’t have an operation, it will get worse than last year.”
He’s now talking with his club about the surgery and how he’ll get better afterward. Even though he’ll miss some games, we’re sure he’ll come back stronger than ever! 💪
We wish Wu Lei a speedy recovery! Get well soon, Wu! 😊
