This week, a big earthquake measuring 6.8 hit Dingri County in Xizang Autonomous Region, which is in southwest China. It happened at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday and caused a lot of damage. Many people were hurt, and some even lost their homes.
Xi Jinping, who is the leader of China, held an important meeting to make sure everyone is working hard to help those affected. He wants to make sure that everyone gets the help they need, especially during the cold winter months.
So far, rescue teams have saved 407 people who were trapped! 🧡 They are also helping the injured and making sure everyone has food, water, and a warm place to stay.
