Our hearts go out to all the families and friends affected by this disaster. ❤️
What Is an Earthquake?
An earthquake is when the ground shakes because of sudden movements deep underground. The Earth’s crust is made up of huge pieces called tectonic plates. Sometimes these plates move suddenly, causing the ground to shake. This can create big cracks in the earth, knock down buildings, and even cause tsunamis.
How Can We Help?
Even if we’re far away, we can still care and spread awareness. Here are some things you can do:
- Learn about earthquake safety in case one happens where you live.
- Send positive thoughts or prayers to those affected.
- Talk to your family and friends about how to prepare for natural disasters.
Staying Safe During Earthquakes
It’s important to know what to do if an earthquake happens:
- Drop, Cover, and Hold On! Drop to the ground, take cover under something sturdy, and hold on until the shaking stops.
- Stay Away from Windows and Heavy Furniture that could fall.
- If You’re Outside, move away from buildings, streetlights, and power lines.
Remember, being prepared can make a big difference! 🌟
Let’s keep the people of Xizang in our thoughts during this difficult time.
