The quake hit Dingri County, which is home to the base camp of Mount Qomolangma, the world’s highest peak. Mount Qomolangma is also known as Mount Everest, and many adventurers start their climb from there. 🏔️
Because of the earthquake, the Mount Qomolangma scenic area has been closed for now to keep everyone safe. 🚫 Safety first!
Local authorities said that 53 people have sadly lost their lives, and 62 are injured. Rescue teams are working hard to help those affected. 🚑👩🚒
