Hey everyone,
There was a big earthquake in the Xizang Autonomous Region in southwest China on Tuesday morning at 9:05 a.m. The earthquake was really strong, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale. That’s pretty big! 🌍
Sadly, 95 people have lost their lives, and 130 others are injured. This happened in a place called Dingri County, near a town named Tsogo Township, in the city of Xigaze.
But there’s hope! Over 3,400 rescuers and more than 340 medical workers have rushed to the area to help. 🚑 They’re working hard to find people who might be trapped and to care for those who are hurt.
Let’s keep the people of Xizang in our thoughts. Maybe you can learn more about earthquakes and how to stay safe during one. Remember, if you ever feel the ground shaking: Drop, Cover, and Hold On!
Stay safe, everyone! 💖
