China's news media industry promotes international exchanges: report

How China Is Making New Friends Around the World Through Media 🌍

Hey there! Did you know that China is making lots of new friends all over the world? 🌏 Let’s find out how Chinese news media is connecting with other countries through exciting exchanges and cooperation!

Recently, a special report called “Development of China’s News Media (2024)” was released by the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA). This report shows how Chinese media organizations are working with other countries to share news and learn from each other.

Chinese journalists have been super busy! They’ve hosted big events like the Belt and Road Journalists Forum, where reporters from many countries come together to talk and share ideas. They’ve also had meetings with journalists from Central and Eastern Europe at the China-CEEC Journalists Roundtable, and even held a China-Mongolia Media Forum!

The ACJA has welcomed many foreign journalists visiting China and has also sent Chinese journalists to visit other countries. This way, everyone gets to learn about different cultures and ways of reporting the news.

In August 2024, a major newspaper called the People’s Daily organized the Media Cooperation Forum on Belt and Road. They released something called the “Chengdu Initiative”, which is all about media from different countries working together.

Another big news agency, Xinhua News Agency, made agreements with 33 media organizations in 25 countries! 🌐 They now have partnerships in 124 countries and regions around the world. They’ve organized big events like the World Media Summit and the BRICS Media Forum, where people from different countries come together to talk about news and media.

China Media Group (CMG), another major media organization, held cool events like the “Journey Through Civilizations World Tour” and “Chinese Modernization and the World” media events in 2022 and 2023.

All these efforts show how China’s news media is reaching out to the world, making friends, and sharing stories. Isn’t it amazing how news can bring people together? 😊
