China Shares Moon Rocks with Scientists Around the World! 🌕

China has some super exciting news about the Moon! They are sharing precious moon rocks and dust with scientists so they can study them and learn more about our amazing neighbor in space. How cool is that? 🌙
Here’s what happened: China sent a spacecraft called Chang’e-5 to the Moon. This mission collected about 1,731 grams (that’s over 3 pounds!) of moon samples and brought them back to Earth! These are the first new moon samples returned in over 40 years. 🤯
Now, China’s space agency is lending 8,550.4 milligrams (that’s about the weight of a small coin) of these moon rocks to 18 researchers from 16 different universities and institutions. Some of these places include the China University of Geosciences, the University of Hong Kong, and Wuhan University.
