Hi everyone! π I’m Lincoln, and I want to share with you the most exciting year of my life! I’ve been living in Beijing, the capital city of China, for one whole year! π
When I first arrived, I was a bit nervous. Everything was new and different. But guess what? The people here were super friendly and welcomed me with open arms! π€ I was invited to so many delicious banquets where I tried all kinds of yummy Chinese food. π₯π I even shared some funny stories about Australia, like how we have kangaroos hopping around! π¦
But it wasn’t just about food and fun. I got to see how China and Australia are becoming better friends! π€ Our countries are working together on so many cool things. For example, our Prime Minister, Mr. Albanese, visited China twice! That means our two countries are talking and helping each other more than ever.
I also went to big events like the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS). Think of it like a giant party where countries share ideas about business and helping each other. Next year, Australia will be the special guest! π
I met amazing people like Mr. Vaughn Barber from the Australian Chamber of Commerce. He told me that many Australian companies are excited to work with China. They want to share and learn new things together. Isn’t that awesome? π
Another cool person I met was Ms. Christine Holgate. She’s helping Australian and Chinese companies work together in deliveries and online shopping! π¦ She said that China is leading the world in e-commerce, and we have so much to learn from them.
Living in China has taught me so much. I’ve learned that when countries become friends and work together, everyone wins! π I’ve also realized that you can’t understand a place just by watching the news. You have to see it for yourself! π
So, if you ever get the chance to visit China or meet someone from another country, remember to keep an open mind and heart. Who knows what amazing adventures you’ll have? π
Thanks for reading about my fantastic year! Here’s to more friendships and exciting journeys ahead! π
