Hey there! Have you ever heard of the Dragon Boat Festival? It’s a super fun and traditional holiday in China, also known as the Duanwu Festival. This year, it was celebrated from May 31 to June 2, and guess what? Over 650 million people traveled during the holiday! That’s almost twice the population of the United States! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

According to China’s Ministry of Transport, there were more than 653.7 million passenger trips during the festival. That’s a 2.5% increase from last year. Most people traveled by road, with over 597 million trips made by cars, buses, and other vehicles. ๐Ÿš—๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿš

Many people also took trains, with 48 million railway trips recorded. Trains in China are super fast and can go up to 350 km/h (that’s about 217 mph)! Imagine zooming across the country to visit friends and family. ๐Ÿš„

Traveling by plane was also popular, with airlines handling about 5.6 million passenger trips. โœˆ๏ธ And let’s not forget about boats! Around 2.7 million people chose to travel by water during the holiday. โ›ด๏ธ

The Dragon Boat Festival is a time when families get together, race dragon boats, and eat yummy rice dumplings called “zongzi.” Have you ever tried one? They are sticky rice treats wrapped in bamboo leaves. ๐Ÿ™

It’s amazing to see so many people coming together to celebrate traditions and spend time with loved ones. Maybe one day you’ll get to experience the Dragon Boat Festival in China too! ๐ŸŽŠ
