🌏 Hey there! Guess what? Some really cool things happened in Jakarta, Indonesia recently! From Sunday to Tuesday, lots of important people gathered for a big meeting called the Global Business Summit on Belt and Road Infrastructure Investment. That’s a big name, but basically, they talked about how to make our world a better, greener, and more awesome place! 🌟
Over 300 people came together, including government leaders, business people, and others from all over the world. They all want to work together to make our planet more inclusive (so everyone feels included), resilient (strong even when things get tough), and sustainable (good for the environment)!
A special person from the United Nations, Li Junhua, gave a speech. He said it’s super important to build things like roads and bridges that are friendly to the Earth 🌳. That means they should help reduce pollution and be good for everyone.
But here’s the most exciting part! They announced nine amazing projects to help people! 🎉 Let’s talk about a few of them:
- BRAVOSHOPS by FinVolution Group: This project is all about helping small shop owners in countries across Asia, like China, Indonesia, and the Philippines. They will get help to make their shops better, keep food safe, and maybe even add new cool products! 🍜
- Belt and Road Rural CEO Training Program by Tencent: This program helps people in the countryside learn how to use computers and technology to run businesses. Imagine learning to be a CEO (that’s the boss!) with fun digital courses! 💻
- NexGen Vocational Education Scholarship by Vivo: This scholarship helps young people in Indonesia learn new skills, especially in technology. This means they can get better jobs in the future and maybe invent the next big thing! 🚀
Chen Pingping, a leader at FinVolution, said their project will help at least 1,500 small businesses between 2025 and 2030! That’s a lot of shops getting better and helping their communities. 🏪
The summit also started something called the “Sino-Indonesia Corporate Community Action Network.” That’s a big way of saying they want companies in China and Indonesia to work together to do good things! 🤝
