Hey there, young explorers! Have you ever wondered how goods travel between countries? Well, exciting news! A new freight train has just started its journey from Chongqing, a big city in southwest China, all the way to Uzbekistan in Central Asia!
This isn’t just any trainβitβs loaded with special cargo called polyester chips, which are tiny pieces used to make things like plastic bottles and clothes. The train will travel about 4,700 kilometers (that’s over 2,900 miles!) and is expected to reach the capital of Uzbekistan in about 12 days.
What’s super cool is that this route will have trains running twice a month, making it easier and faster to send goods between China and Central Asian countries. By taking this train, companies can save time and money, which means products can get to people quicker and for less cost!
Lin Zheng, a logistics manager (that’s someone who plans how things get from one place to another), said this new route will help their company share their products with more people in Central Asia. Isn’t it amazing how one train can connect so many places?
In recent years, Chongqing has been building lots of train routes to become a big hub (a center where many things connect). They’ve already sent over 18,000 trains to more than 100 cities across Asia and Europe!
So next time you see a train, think about the incredible journeys they make and how they help bring the world closer together! ππ
